notes: make sure to par cook the crust until crispy before topping & cook again. poke tiny holes over the dough with a fork before cooking to prevent it from puffing up.
uses: lunch or dinner. keep premade flatbread around for late night snack.

Directions

  1. preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. remove sausage from casing, crumble & cook on medium heat until cooked through. remove sausage from skillet & set aside.
  3. add onions & fennel to the same skillet to cook until soft & aromatic. add butter & continue slowly cooking until well caramelized, deglazing the pan with a small amount of water as needed. remove & set aside.
  4. build your pizza on your desired par-baked crust. add a healthy layer of Sunday Sauce, precooked sausage, caramelized fennel and onions & the freshly shredded mozzarella cheese.
  5. cook at 400 degrees until cheese is bubbly, browned about 10 mins.
