sales tax policy page
At The Sunday Sauce Company, LLC, we are committed to transparency and compliance with all applicable state tax laws. Here’s how we handle sales tax:
Where We Collect Sales Tax
We are based in Georgia and currently collect sales tax on orders shipped to addresses within Georgia as required by state law.
We do not collect sales tax for other U.S. states at this time, because:
-
We do not have a physical presence (such as offices, warehouses, or employees) in those states.
-
We do not exceed the economic nexus thresholds (typically $100,000 in annual sales or 200+ transactions per state).
If our business activities expand and we meet the tax collection thresholds in other states, we will update this policy and begin collecting tax in those states as required.
Use Tax Responsibility
If you live outside of Georgia and we do not collect tax on your purchase, your state may require you to report and pay use tax on your purchase. Please consult your state’s tax authority or a tax professional for guidance.
Shipping to Kansas or New Mexico
Due to unique state laws:
-
We do collect sales tax on all orders shipped to Kansas.
-
We collect Gross Receipts Tax (GRT) on all orders shipped to New Mexico.
Tax-Exempt Customers
If you are a tax-exempt business or reseller, please contact us at thesundaysaucecompany@gmail.com with your resale certificate before placing an order, so we can process your exemption.
