PROFILE: hearty, cheesy and filling.
NOTES: can use ground beef in place of turkey. instead of individual crocks, serve a party with a full pan. a great make ahead meal. if you are making a full pan, your cook time will be 30-40 minutes.
USES: dinner | party or entertaining | serve with garlic bread or simple green salad.

Directions

  1. cook pasta in heavily salted water until 90% cooked. drain & add a little bit of sauce to coat pasta & to prevent it from sticking.
  2. sautè diced onions for 3-5 mins on medium heat until soft. add ground turkey and cook until brown. strain any liquid from pan. add the remaining original 76 pasta sauce to the turkey and simmer on low for 10-15 mins.
  3. in a small bowl, mix ricotta, parmesan, 1/2 cup of mozzarella, chopped parsley, egg, crushed red pepper - salt & pepper to taste.
  4. stir cooked pasta into the sauce & turkey
  5. spoon pasta mixture into crocks, dollop with ricotta mixture, add more pasta until crock is full and press down gently to compress. top with mozzarella cheese.
  6. place crocks on a baking sheet and bake, uncovered at 375 degrees for 20 mins or until cheese is bubbly.
