PROFILE: meaty, with a slight brine & a hint of sweetness.

NOTES: use the rest of your Sunday Sauce jar as a substitute for tomato product in recipes like this cuban-style picadillo.

USES: dinner | serve over white rice or mashed potatoes.

Directions

  1. add olive oil to the pan on medium heat.
  2. add onions for 3 mins until soft. add bell pepper & jalapeno and cook another 3 mins until soft. add garlic and cook 1 minute - stirring continuously.
  3. add ground beef and spices (cumin, bay leaf, oregano, salt & pepper). cook until beef is cooked through.
  4. add Sunday Sauce and cook for 2-3 minutes on low.
  5. add green olives & raisins and cook another 2-3 mins until flavors are incorporated.
